Fun Exploring Trees with Beech and Pear Classes

This week during science Year one went on an exploration to Queen's Park to look for evergreen and deciduous trees. Some children were able to identify and name some of the common plants and animals within the locality i.e. daffodils, magpies, weeping willow trees and squirrels.

The children used their magnifying glasses to observe some of the signs of spring, finding a blossom tree showing buds and shoots. Our young Einstein team counted 51 deciduous trees and 7 evergreens.  They recorded their findings using a tally chart.

Well done Year one, you were all super scientists.
