At the end of every half term, we invite all of our parents to come into their child's classes and see the work which they have produced.
This half term has been a very busy one, so children had a lot of fantastic learning to share with their parents. Many parents like to use showcase as an informal opportunity to catch up with their child's teacher about the progress which they are making too.
In addition to the showcase, for this event we invited several external community groups to come and present their offers to our parents. Representatives from the council's neighbourhood team, Biffa waste management, community health team, city library service and Manchester Fayre caterers were on hand to speak with parents and make them aware of the services which they provide. This aspect of the event was such a success that next year will see 'Community Cafes' being launched alongside every showcase event.
